Strawberry Fields Digital Hub launches business start-up competition
Chorley’s hi-tech business centre, Strawberry Fields Digital Hub, has launched a competition to win everything required to start and take a digital or creative business to the next level.
This outstanding prize package includes; a hot-desk and business telephone package at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub for 12 months, business support through Digital Creative, half day marketing consultancy session to help develop a brand and marketing strategy, networking group membership and much more.
“This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has previously lacked the resource and support needed to get their business idea off the ground. The prize could turn a great idea into reality for the winner who will join other ambitious businesses based at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub.” Said Cllr Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council.
New Year is a time when many people think about what they want to achieve in the future. For some this may mean finally taking the plunge and starting a business of their own. Chorley Council, who own and operate Strawberry Fields Digital Hub, are offering this fantastic package as part of their commitment to supporting new businesses.
The competition will run until 14 February 2020 and is open to entrepreneurs and start-ups intending to operate on a business to business basis, within the digital and creative sectors. Entrants are required to provide their business pitch by video to wow an expert panel of judges.

The £8.4 million Strawberry Fields Digital Hub development, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, opened in October 2019 providing the opportunity for start-ups and SMEs in the digital and creative sectors to work alongside each other in an innovative, supporting and vibrant environment.
“Although the competition is for start-up businesses, the building is home to larger businesses too, with space available for more. We encourage anyone interested in new business premises or starting up within the digital or creative sector to come and have a look for themselves.” Said Cllr Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council.
This 40,000sq ft collaborative space offers a range of hot desking, micro pods and small office suites, breakout areas, plus conference and meeting room space, ideal for local businesses to hire. With resilient super-fast connectivity, secure Wi-Fi, on-site business support, free parking, 24hour access and onsite security combined with its convenient location, it’s an ideal space for both new and existing businesses.
Strawberry Fields is also the hub of Digital Creative, a fully funded business support programme delivered by Chorley Council and funded by the European Regional Development Fund, supporting Lancashire start-ups and existing SMEs in the digital and creative sector by offering advice, practical help, workshops and research, for those trading on a business to business basis.
